When phoning up a friend and saying: "I have good news!" and the reply is: "what?", I couldn't resist the answer: "I'm pregnant".

This was then followed by a brief pause, and a rather sardonic "Seriously?".

Let me just point out, that if I had managed to get pregnant, it would imply a secret life, or divine intervention.
